Ibrahimov Ibrahim, aged 55, was born on May 28, 1958 in Nehram village of Babek region of the Nakhchivan AR, which is part of Azerbaijan. He finished a secondary school in Nehram. He graduated at the Faculty of Economy of the Nakhchivan State University. He is married and has four children.

He is a businessman from Azerbaijan, who is became famous by his project named Khazar Islands with a one kilometer high Azerbaijan Tower.

For a good part he owed his success to Azerbaijan’s national hero Heydar Aliyev, who was in the early 1990s the head of the AR Nakhichivan. To him his father was allied. When Aliyev moved to Baku where he became president of Azerbaijan Ibrahimov expanded his business and transferred the headquarter of his holding to Baku. He himself lives in Garadagh, a district of Baku. He has still excellent relations to the presidential family. The current president Ilham Aliyev encouraged him to build the gigantic island project. The ideas came during his visits to Dubai.
